Dr. Xiaohan Yu

Dr Xiaohan Yu is a Lecturer in AI at School of Computing, Macquarie University. He was a Research Fellow at the ARC Research Hub for Driving Farming Productivity and Disease Prevention, after his PhD awarded from Griffith University, Australia. Dr Yu established the research of Ultra-Fine-Grained Visual Categorization, and received the Australian Pattern Recognition Society Early Career Researcher Award 2022 for his contribution in bridging pattern recognition and smart farming. He authored 70+ (35+ with CORE A* ranking) publications in reputable venues including ICCV, CVPR, ECCV, IEEE T-PAMI, IJCV, IEEE T-IP, AAAI, IJCAI, ACM MM, PR, IEEE T-NNLS, IEEE T-CSVT, etc. He is the Associate Editor of journal Pattern Recognition and SN Computer Science, Area Chair for ACM MM 2024&2025, IJCNN2025, and SPC for IJCAI2025. He received Outstanding Area Chair of ACM Multimedia 2024.
